Critical sectors such as energy and telecommunications are classed as strategic infrastructure. Our experience shows there is no one-size-fits-all solution – every scenario requires a tailored approach.

Autonomy as the First Line of Defence

Telecommunications towers and energy stations are often in remote locations, hours from the nearest authority. When an alarm is triggered, a human response arrives too late – the damage is already done. Security cannot rely solely on human intervention; it must be capable of protecting itself.

The All-in-One video recorder acts as the first line of defence against battery or copper theft, sabotage and vandalism. It integrates LAVA (Lanaccess Advanced Video Analytics) for perimeter protection, a 4G router to maintain connectivity at all times and an internal UPS to ensure uninterrupted operation during power outages. The system is supplied in an easy-to-install format, specifically designed for unattended environments and extreme weather conditions.

Coverage Across Large Sites

The challenge is different in power plants or telecommunications facilities. Here, the priority is not only autonomy but also rapid incident detection across large areas. LAVA’s advanced, neural network-based analytics can detect intrusions and even fires in their early stages. It can also identify vehicles in real time and significantly reduces false alarms, improving the effectiveness of surveillance across extensive facilities.

To strengthen protection in extreme conditions, thermal cameras capture images in any lighting, with detection ranges of up to 400 metres.

Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC)

All this infrastructure is monitored at the Alarm Receiving Centre using our VMS, which can be accessed from any web browser. The system allows remote diagnostics, updates and alerts for any anomalies in recorders or cameras, ensuring the system remains fully operational. For control rooms, we complement management with our video wall controller, enabling simultaneous viewing of multiple sources and more effective surveillance coordination.

Reflections

Isolated towers and power plants cannot wait for on-site security or police response. They need robust, autonomous solutions capable of withstanding the passage of time, extreme weather and lack of supervision. With solutions such as the All-in-One autonomous recorder, thermal cameras and video analytics for perimeter protection, we can ensure the continuity of critical infrastructure in remote facilities.
