Security cameras
Approximately 6,000 units, including 2,500 IP cameras.
Video recorders (Lanaccess)High-performance devices.
- Around 800 video recorders distributed across their offices and headquarters.
- The recorders installed in offices feature a special wall-mounted chassis.
VMS (Lanaccess)
The video management system oversees more than 6,000 video cameras, both IP and analogue.
- Efficient architecture: Compact, dedicated firmware ensures optimal image processing with minimal power and bandwidth usage.
- Cybersecurity: The video recorders are isolated from the corporate network and trigger an alarm if tampering is detected.
- Real-time access to video footage.
- The Web Report feature allows for automatic management of the entire CCTV system.
“Lanaccess has a strong presence in the banking sector. Together, we have been growing.”

HEAD OF SECURITY AT CAJAMAR

Territorial expansion
Cajamar is a financial institution associated with the social economy, particularly the Spanish agri-food sector, focusing its activities on developing local production systems. Alongside its organic growth, since 2000, it has spearheaded a process of consolidation and integration of cooperative credit institutions involving 30 rural savings banks from Andalusia, Murcia, Madrid, Castile and León, Valencia, the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands. This poses a challenge in terms of physical security.
“The major challenge in recent years has been integrating [the security systems of] the rural savings banks that have joined the group,” says their head of security, José Manuel García. These banks had disparate and, in some cases, outdated security systems.
Throughout the national territory, the group has opted for GPRS/4G communication and Lanaccess video recorders, which have been adapted to the upgrading of their cameras.
Continuous renewal
Sixty percent of the 6,000 cameras distributed throughout the institution’s facilities are analogue, a number that is steadily decreasing in favour of IP cameras.
“We are continuing to upgrade our equipment,” says José Manuel, “to fully leverage the analytics offered by our recorders, focusing on automatic detections.”
These automatic detections allow the alarm monitoring centre to manage the security of hundreds of branches, with technical supervision also being automated.
Automated system status monitoring
To manage system status, the entities within the Cajamar Cooperative Group use a feature in Lanaccess’s VMS called Web Report. José Manuel highlights the practicality of this module: “The Lanaccess software includes control tools to display, monitor and alert about any issues with cameras, recorders, cabling or any other components of the CCTV system.”
“You can also schedule or execute equipment supervision rounds,” José Manuel continues. “For example, you can perform a round to check the status of recordings, firmware versions, and so on.”
All of this streamlines the operators’ work and saves them considerable time.
Cybersecurity by design in the CCTV system
At bank branches, Lanaccess video recorders help Cajamar block unauthorised access. José Manuel explains: “They act as a barrier between the IP cameras and the bank’s network.”
Security is maintained on two fronts:
- A las cámaras, la banca cooperativa Cajamar no asigna direcciones IP corporativas. Las IP que usan son internas y apuntan al videograbador.
- Cada videograbador tiene un switch PoE integrado que permite monitorizar automáticamente la conexión de los dispositivos. Si detecta que una cámara ha sido reemplazada por otro dispositivo, el puerto se bloquea automáticamente.
Branches without a secure storage unit: wall-mounted chassis
Branches use Lanaccess video recorders with a wall-mounted chassis, a metal frame that can be hung anywhere, offering several advantages: “It saves us from needing to install a secure storage unit,” says the head of security of the Cajamar Group. “The system includes an internal battery that allows the video recorder to continue operating during power outages. What’s more, if someone attempts to tamper with it, the wall-mounted chassis sends a real-time alert to the control centre, which receives an image of the incident.”Lanaccess technical support
Cajamar approached Lanaccess 15 years ago because of our solid reputation in the banking sector. José Manuel remembers this and is pleased with their decision: “I really appreciate the technical support. We have grown together, and Lanaccess has consistently welcomed our suggestions.”Share
